Finland has an extensive national vaccination programme. The programme ensures that Finnish citizens get vaccinated against various diseases for free. Thanks to vaccinations, many dangerous diseases, such as diphtheria and polio, have been entirely eradicated in Finland. This means that our public health care can focus on preventing and treating other diseases instead.
